CARE COMMITTEE

The purpose of our Care Committee is to send expressions of get well wishes to members who need a little cheering up and to express our sympathy to the loved ones of members who have laid down the working tools of life.  Pat Seel and Gardner Harshman are the Chairpersons of our Care Committee.

Thanks to the efforts of Progress Energy we are now officially notified of the death of a retiree.  Often times we know in advance from newspapers, etc.  Upon notification of a retiree's passing the Care Committee determines whether or not the retiree was a FPCRA  member.  If the retiree was a member, both a card and a monetary gift are sent to the family.  If the retiree was not a member a card expressing our sympathy is sent to the family.

The Care Committee needs your help!  If you know of one of our retirees who has passed away or who is not feeling well and could use a little cheering up, then contact Pat (just click) or Gardner and she or he will take it from there.
